Privacy policy
Last changed 25 October 2026.
mixy1 mail is a desktop app that runs on your Windows PC. There is no mixy1 mail server and no account with us: the app connects only to your mail provider's servers (for Gmail, Google's sign-in, IMAP and SMTP servers), and nothing it reads is sent to us or anyone else.
What it accesses
When you add a Google account, you grant mixy1 mail the https://mail.google.com/ permission. With it the app reads your messages and folders (labels), and the names and addresses in your mail's headers, and it can send mail and move, flag or delete messages.
How it uses it
Only to work as your mail client: to show and search your mail, to tell you when new mail arrives, to suggest addresses you have written to, and to send, file, flag or delete messages when you ask it to. It does not read your mail for any other purpose.
Where it is kept
Only on your PC, under your Windows user:
- a copy of your mail, in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\mixy1\mail\mail.db; - the sign-in tokens (and any passwords), encrypted for your Windows user with the Windows Data Protection API, in
%APPDATA%\mixy1\mail.secrets; - the settings, which hold nothing secret, in
%APPDATA%\mixy1\mail.json.
Sharing
None. mixy1 mail does not collect, receive, sell or share your data. It has no analytics, no telemetry and no advertising, and your data is not used to train AI or machine learning models.
mixy1 mail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deleting it
Removing an account in Settings ▸ Accounts deletes its copy of the mail and its sign-in from your PC. Deleting the files above removes everything. To withdraw the app's access to your Google account, remove mixy1 mail at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
